What Do Skin Boosters Do?

Skin boosters such as Profhilo and Seventy Hyal, are injectable treatments consisting of a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, designed to deeply hydrate the skin, improve skin quality and enhance your natural glow. Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters are not intended to add volume or change facial shape. Instead, they work by improving the skin’s hydration, elasticity, and overall texture from within.

Skin Boosters can help to:

  • Improve skin hydration
  • Enhance skin texture and smoothness
  • Increase skin elasticity and firmness
  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines
  • Restore a healthy, radiant complexion
  • Improve the quality of ageing or sun-damaged skin

Skin boosters are commonly used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.

How Long Do Skin Boosters Last?

Many people notice improvements in skin hydration and radiance within a few weeks of treatment. For best results, an initial course of 2–3 treatments, spaced around 3–4 weeks apart, is often recommended.

Results typically last 6–9 months, depending on the product used, the treatment area, and individual factors such as skin condition and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments can help prolong the benefits.

Who Cannot Have Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters may not be suitable if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Have an active skin infection, cold sore, or inflammation in the treatment area.
  • Have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in the product.
  • Have certain autoimmune or uncontrolled medical conditions, depending on your medical history.
  • Are currently unwell with a significant illness or infection.
  • Are under 18 years of age.
A full consultation and medical assessment will be carried out before treatment to ensure skin boosters are safe and appropriate for you.
